Delta Hockey Academy wins second straight CSSHL Bantam Varsity Title

Justin Sourdif scored twice as the Delta Hockey Academy skated to their second consecutive CSSHL Bantam Varsity Division Championship with a 4-1 win over Delta Hockey Academy ’02 at the South Okanagan Events Centre on Saturday.

Christian Fitzgerald (Surrey, BC) tallied a goal and assist for Delta, while Jacob Slipec (White Rock, BC) netted the game winner 8:30 into the third period.

Ryan Deighton (South Surrey, BC) picked up the win in goal, making 21 saves on the afternoon.

Delta wrapped up the season with a division leading 23-0-1 record before going a perfect 3-0-0 during the round robin portion of the Championships, including a 5-1 win over Delta ’02 on Thursday.

Tyus Gent (Delta, BC) scored the lone goal of the game for Delta ’02, which got a 41-save performance from goaltender Braedy Euerby (Delta, BC).
