Despite having made big strides forward in their game, the Atom A1 Huskies continue to be stung by bad bounces at both ends of the ice.
With that said, at the Atom level, it’s important to not take the game too seriously and several players took that attitude to heart in recent weeks.
“Over the break, some of the kids got a chance to come to the rink to just skate and have some fun,” said assistant coach Brendan Matthews.
Winning can also make hockey more fun, something Matthews is confident they’ll do more of in the New Year.
“We’ve been really close in almost every game we played leading up to Christmas,” he said. “In the New Year, we’re looking forward to improving and putting some more wins on the board as well. We’re treating the new year as a completely brand new season.”
